Breast enlargement 

 

Since the 1980s there has been a constant strong trend towards large breasts - as opposed to the 1960s and the 1970s. At a preparatory meeting we inform you about advantages and disadvantages of various protheses. The final decsion is however up to you. You choose which make and which size should be applied. Over the years the industries have significantly improved and increased their choice of implants.

We offer all three operative approaches: from the lower margin of the nipple corona, from the skinfold underneath the breast and through the armpits. If possible, implants are placed underneath the breast muscle.
 

 

  

Duration: The operation takes around one hour

Anaesthetization: General anaesthesia

Clinic sojourn: The out-patient-procedure is possible. Some patients may wish to stay 1-3 days at the clinic. We recommend wearing a tight bra for 3-6 weeks to prevent swelling.

Scars: Scars of 4-5 centimetres on each side – hidden in the skinfold underneath the breast or at the lower margin of the nipple corona at the transition from pigmented to non-pigmented skin, or in the armpits, in skinfolds.

Socially presentable: Office work can be continued a few days after the operation, any heavy tasks or physical activities should be avoided for at least 4-6 weeks after the operation.
