Definition of the purposes and working method of GESAPS

Input:

GESAPS is a service for German journalists through which they can get information about worldwide developments in the field of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

For that purpose we have organized an international Editorial Board of world known Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, who are all experts in the field of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Output:

German members of the Editorial Board committed themselves to providing the information on aesthetic surgical developments in Germany for anybody who is interested.

Interactions:

If the idea of GESAPS finds a good acceptance among the Editorial Board and other Plastic Surgeons organized in ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and its Public Educational Committee, we encourage the organisation of Editorial Offices in other countries. It should be discussed by EXCO of ISAPS. The emphasized aim should be to serve the ethical principles of ISAPS.

Conditions for Cooperation with Editorial Board

World competent Plastic Surgeons who are invited by the Editor, agree to be listed as Members of the Editorial Board. They agree to contribute publications in GESAPS Newsletter about new operating methods and therapies and other new trends and facts in this field. Members of Editorial Board have no financial obligations concerning the publication of the GESAPS Newsletter.

Editor may ask for contributions at any time also external experts, who are not listed in the Editorial Board.

Declaration of Acceptance to put the own photos at disposal for publishing if needed with no charge; Photos from professionals should already be paid and the copyright should be disclosed by written permission.

Members of Editorial Board indicate in their contributions if photographic material should be added and if so under which conditions. If people can be facially recognised, then the written agreement for publishing should exist. We prefer to publish photos free of charge.

Regulation about withdrawal from Editorial Board

Each member of the Editorial Board may withdraw his/her membership by simple notification to the Editorial Board. Otherwise the Editor may at any time invite further experts of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery to join the Editorial Board.
